About me
I am a hormone health and women’s wellbeing practitioner, educator and guide
My work sits at the intersection of evidence-based women’s health, holistic practices and ancient wisdom, which leaves space for your own intuition and experience to pave the way.
As women, we are inherently cyclical beings. Understanding and deepening our connection to our menstrual cycles goes beyond just learning when we are ovulating – it takes us back to the very nature of what it means to be a woman and empowers us to reclaim our innate wisdom.
I work with women who are ready to move away from feeling disconnected and frustrated by their bodies and cycles, and move towards greater understanding, connection and trust.
My approach weaves together a whole-body approach, where we look at not just your hormones, but also your physiology, nervous system, lifestyle and relationship with ourselves and others, in order to bring deep root-cause healing to your entire being.
My story
Up until my early 20s, I spent my life heavily disconnected from my body and my cycles. I viewed my cycles as an inconvenience and ultimately something that made women a weaker sex.
It wasn’t until I was walking into the doctors to try the fifth different type of the hormonal contraceptive pill due to each one providing me with unwanted side effects, that I began to question whether this really was the only answer to my own wellbeing.
I took the brave leap to stop taking the pill, in a bid to try and learn about my cycles, my body and the very thing I detested for all these years. I was nervous. Nervous for the return of my periods, the potential pain, and the anxiety of leaking through my clothes at work every month.
But I did it anyway.
I immersed myself in knowledge – I read books, listened to podcasts, tracked my cycle, and month by month, I began to learn the very things all young girls should be taught at school.
I learned the four phases of my menstrual cycle, I learned the signs of ovulation, I began to integrate the physical and energetic shifts that each phase of my cycle brought to me, I began to appreciate the impact that our nutrition, movement, nervous system, relationships and environmental factors have on how our cycles play out. I was opened to this whole new way of living in alignment with my cycles and my body. I began to live in tune with my cyclical nature.
After working in an SEN school and seeing how limited the education young girls were still receiving when it came to puberty and their cycles, I trained to become a First Moon Circle facilitator with the gorgeous Charlotte Pointeaux. I feel so blessed to be able to offer celebratory ceremonies for young girls as they approach such a pivotal new season of life.
I knew I also wanted to support women who may have received the same conditioning as myself around our cycles and who can resonate with the feeling of being at war with your body. I furthered my studies with the Institute for Menstrual Health, which provided me with a rich understanding of women’s hormone health and physiology.
Through walking my own path of womanhood and dedicating my time to immersing myself in my studies, I am able to offer 1:1 guidance and support to women as they navigate their own relationship with their bodies and cycles.
